Virtual Wallet is used by Barking and Dagenham Council to manage Short Breaks 4 Me, which enables eligible families in the borough that have a child or young person with a disability or complex health need to apply for a Short Breaks Personal Grant, manage their grant funds online and buy short breaks activities and provision.
Short breaks are fun breaks that offer enjoyable leisure activities for the child giving them the chance to have fun, make friends and grow in independence. They can also give the parents, and their other children, a break from caring responsibilities and an opportunity to re-charge their batteries

For all enquiries relating to applications and information on where you are able to spend your grant please contact the Short Breaks team at the Heathway Centre at shortbreaks4me@lbbd.gov.uk or on 020 8227 5500. If you have a technical query relating to your account or using the website, then please contact PPL on 0330 0582 694, between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday.
The Short Breaks team aims to review your application as soon as possible. If 14 working days have passed since you submitted your application, please contact the Short Breaks team at the Heathway Centre at shortbreaks4me@lbbd.gov.uk or on 020 8227 5500 to discuss where it is up to. Please remember if you are a new applicant that we cannot process your application until we have received your 'professional declaration' letter
