Working alongside Croydon Council and their partner organisations, Virtual Wallet is being used to encourage more individuals to take an active role in managing their own direct payment.
Sitting alongside the direct payment support service from Independent Lives and information resources such as the Croydon Adult Support website, Virtual Wallet is the default solution for all new direct payment recipients and work is underway to migrate existing direct payment recipients across to Virtual Wallet.
The Virtual Wallet support team are on hand to support individuals and PAs with the transition to Virtual Wallet and Independent Lives will continue to provide ‘on-the-ground’ information, advice and support to individuals (including PA recruitment and setup), although individuals can use the Croydon Adult Support eMarketplace to find support.
